Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between cellophane and polyethylene?
Cellophane (OPP) is clear and glossy and gives the shelf look; polyethylene is hazier but stretchier and harder to tear. Choose cellophane to show the product, polyethylene to carry weight and take knocks.
What thickness do I need?
Thickness follows the weight of the contents, how sharp their edges are, and the shipping route, not the product category on its own. Send the weight of a filled pack, its dimensions and how it closes, and we will propose a thickness. There is no single number that works for everyone.
How do metallised and pearl differ from clear?
Metallised adds a barrier against moisture and light and is used for crisps and snacks; pearl is matte with a pearly sheen and is common on chocolate. Clear is the choice when the buyer has to see the product itself.
Do you print our brand on cellophane?
Yes, rotogravure up to 8 colours on the film we extrude ourselves, with a printed sample approved before the bulk run.
